Epoxy Resin Calculator

Enter the size and depth of your pour. You get the mixed volume and how much resin and hardener to measure.

How the epoxy resin calculator works

Resin volume is length × width × depth in cubic inches. One US gallon is 231 cubic inches and one fluid ounce is about 1.8 cubic inches. A 1/8" depth (0.125) is the usual flood coat on a tabletop or artwork. For a river table, measure the gap the resin fills, not the whole slab.

The calculator splits the total by your product's mix ratio by volume. 1:1 is common for coating resins, while deep pour resins are often 2:1 or 3:1. Check the maximum pour depth on your product and pour thick projects in layers if needed. The waste allowance covers resin left in cups and dripping over edges.

Questions

How much resin for a 24 × 36 tabletop?

A 1/8" coat with 10% extra needs about 65.8 fl oz, just over half a gallon: 32.9 fl oz each of resin and hardener at 1:1.

How much resin for a river table?

A river 72" long, 6" wide and 1 1/2" deep is 648 cubic inches, about 2.81 gallons before any extra.

How do I convert cubic inches to gallons?

Divide by 231. For fluid ounces, divide by about 1.8.
