Sod Calculator

Enter your lawn's length and width. You get the square feet, pallets and pieces to order and the cost.

How the sod calculator works

Sod is ordered by the square foot and delivered on pallets. Multiply the lawn's length by its width, then add 5% to 10% for curves, beds and cuts. For an irregular lawn, split it into rectangles, run each one, and add them up.

Pallets usually hold 400 to 500 sq ft depending on the farm and grass type, and pieces are commonly 16" × 24". Change both to match your supplier. Lay sod the day it's delivered, because it dries out quickly on the pallet.
